Specialist Training: Newcastle-upon-Tyne 1984-1992. During specialist training he developed an interest in Dermatological research leading to submission of a PhD thesis on aspects of keratinocyte biology. Dermatology Specialist Training awarded May 1992.
Previous Post: 1992-1999, Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Dermatolology department of Medicine, Liverpool University. This post held responsibility for Dermatology teaching at Liverpool University and he also supervised a number of PhD students on research projects within the department. Honorary Consultant Dermatologist at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
Current Post: Since 1999 Consultant Dermatologist at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital and Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Clinical Director of Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Dermatology department since 2000. British Association of Dermatologists North West regional representative 2006-2009.
Special Interests: Skin Cancer and Dermatological Surgery.
